Rent increase rules (SA RTA 1995, s.55): Rent can only be increased once every 12 months. You must give the tenant at least 60 days written notice before a rent increase takes effect. Enter the new rent amount above if this renewal includes a change.

SA law: bond cannot exceed 4 weeks rent. For weekly rent, max = rent × 4.

Special conditions cannot remove or limit any rights granted under the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 (SA). Unlawful conditions are void.

Important reminders (SA RTA 1995):
  • Both landlord and tenant must sign the agreement. Keep a copy each.
  • Bond must be lodged with Consumer and Business Services (CBS) within 7 days of receipt.
  • Landlord must give tenant a copy of the Information for Tenants booklet (available at cbs.sa.gov.au).
  • Entry condition report must be completed and a copy given to the tenant.
